Negore
Olith and I played a few concerts together during the pandemic. We performed in Addis and Warsaw, for example. However, working together on a new album remained difficult due to the lockdown in Kenya. It was simply not possible to travel to Ugunja, where Olith lives. After the pandemic, we started recording our second album straight away. We recorded the vocal tracks in my flat in Nairobi. My partner had just moved out and had taken most of the furniture with her. The flat there sounded very echoey and we decided to record the vocal tracks in one of the empty cupboards. It sounded surprisingly warm and beautiful.
