Rangala
I feel very honoured to have played with such great musicians as Nils Frahm, Shabaka Hutchings, John McEntire, Marc Ribot and Sofia Jernberg. But no one has ever blown me away like Ogoya Nengo. She is definitely my ‘Queen Of Dodo’.
After the release of the album ‘Mukunguni’ on Honest Jons Records, Stefan Schneider and I travelled to Kenya again to work with Ogoya and her band on recordings. After the release, she started touring iintensively. She performed in London, Berlin, Gothenburg, Paris, Athens, Warsaw, Madrid, Brussels, Amsterdam, Hamburg etc…. on. I accompanied her on several gigs to play the support programme for her.
